Water is filtered in two ways: mechanically and through a carbon filter.

Filter mesh - retains larger contaminants, such as rust, sand, sediment.

Silver-impregnated activated carbon removes pesticides, herbicides, chlorine and detergents through catalytic absorption and reduction. Significantly improves the smell and taste of water.
